Yolo Colorhouse

In 2005, YOLO Colorhouse® was born, combining a premium, zero-voc paint with a limited, designer palette. The palette of 40 hues are specifically designed for interiors and inspired by our natural world.

Yolo Colorhouse® is a zero-VOC paint, as is the tint used to color the paint. What that means to you is:  VOC's (volatile organic compounds) are the solvents in most paints that evaporate and contribute to the depletion of the ozone. VOCs are also a part of the stinky odor in paint that is offensive and continues to off-gas which contributes to poor indoor air quality. YOLO Colorhouse® is formulated without the use of these solvents, as a result it is a 0 VOC and low odor, premium interior paint.

YOLO Colorhouse® has created a sample system using real paint, not ink. This allows you to see the real color that will go on your walls instead of a small ink sample that approximates the color. It also allows you to see the color without having to actually paint your wall, then you can move it around the room. All YOLO Colorhouse® samples are painted with real paint by real people in Portland, Oregon. The samples are created to reduce both the waste of the free ink chip and the quart can. We suggest that you re-use the samples as wrapping paper, art projects or share them with friends.

It is best to view the YOLO Colorhouse® palette with our real paint samples. We offer the following options:

Family cards: The family cards are small swipes of all of the colors in a particular family. There are 7 family groups, they are AIR, GRAIN, LEAF, WATER, STONE, CLAY and PETAL. These cards may be purchased individually or a complete packet of 7.

Poster-size color swatch: If you have a pretty good idea about what color you want, and want to see what that color is really going to look like in your space, the poster-size swatch with real paint is ideal. It's repositionable tape lets you move the large swatch around the room or house so you can see what the color is like in different light, or in different spaces.
